Stephen Ministers are trained to visit with those in need on a regular basis, listen, offer resources and referrals, if needed, pray with and for them, and offer Christian love and support. Stephen Ministers give one-on-one care to people who are having a hard time for a variety of reasons. These can include family problems, divorce, loss of a job, death of a family member or anything which may be creating anxiety. A Stephen Minister is not a counselor, therapist, problem solver, or casual visitor. It is a servant ministry modeled on Stephen, the first deacon. If you are interested in becoming a Stephen Minister, please contact the church office or one of the Stephen Leaders listed below to find out more about the training.
Since 1975, the Stephen Ministries organization, based in St. Louis, Missouri, has helped more than 11.000 congregations in more than 150 denominations throughout the world implement Stephen Ministries.
If you could benefit from a listening, caring Christian, please contact the church office or one of the Stephen Leaders listed below.
