Cursillo and Ultreya

Cursillo is a three day weekend, a time for renewal, refreshment and recommitment to living for Christ. Through talks given by both lay and clergy, small group discussions, worship and the sacraments, participants on the weekend come away with the tools to help them lead a more Christ-centered life. The Cursillo weekend is held five times each year in the metroplex. Cursillo is open to all confirmed Episcopalians over the age of 21. Some four thousand in the Dallas-Fort Worth area have experienced a renewal of faith through Cursillos held by the Episcopal Center for Renewal.

After attending Cursillo,  participants join the Ultreya community. St. Alban’s Ultreya meets bimonthly  on Sunday evening for witness and fellowship and on the Sunday of a Cursillo weekend for a pot luck welcome home dinner for participants. Members also form small groups which meet regularly. See the bulletin board outside the Parish Hall for events and additional information.
